Why Darya Music

Every parent wonders: will they actually improve?

Every parent wonders: will they actually improve?

Parisa knows what you’re really looking for; somewhere warm enough your child wants to come back, and good enough that you can see them growing.

A teacher who gets it

Parisa is a mum with 22 years teaching music to kids and adults. She knows how children learn and how to keep them motivated.

A place that feels safe

A calm home studio where children feel free to try, and to get it wrong.

Meet your teacher

A musician who teaches the whole picture.

A musician who teaches the whole picture.

Parisa isn't just a teacher, she's a composer and performer who has spent her career understanding how music works from the inside out.

That changes the way she teaches. Instead of just learning notes, her students learn the story behind a piece: what the music is trying to say, how their part fits with everything else, and why that phrase needs a little more breath right there.

"I teach music the way I'd want my own child to learn it, with patience, with joy, and with a real understanding of why it matters."

Our approach

Our approach

Suzuki method, learning music the way children learn language.

The Suzuki method treats music as a mother tongue. Something absorbed through listening, repetition, and love, before reading or theory.

01

Start by ear

Children learn to speak before they learn to read. Music works the same way. Students begin by listening and playing by ear, developing a natural feel for the music before notation is introduced.

02

Parents as partners

In Suzuki lessons, parents are part of the journey. You'll be involved in each lesson and guide practice at home — which means your child is never alone in their learning.

03

03

Repertoire that grows

Each piece is chosen carefully to build skill and confidence. Students return to favourite pieces again and again, deepening their understanding each time — just like re-reading a beloved story.

The space

A room that makes you want to play.

A room that makes you want to play.

Music needs a certain kind of space. One that's quiet, unhurried, and full of good sound.

The Darya studio is a purpose-fitted room in a family home in the Hills District. You won't find commercial distractions or other classes noise as you play, just good acoustics, and a teacher who's fully present.

From families

What families say.

Adrian has had such a positive experience learning with Parisa. She has a warm and encouraging way of teaching that has really helped improve his motivation and interest in learning. He feels comfortable with her, enjoys the lessons, and we’ve seen a lovely growth in his confidence and enthusiasm. We’re very happy with the progress he has made with Parisa.

Reza

Parent, Hills District

One of our boys learns piano and the other learns violin, and we have been so happy with their progress and the way they have grown in confidence and enjoyment of music. Parisa is patient, caring, encouraging and we have seen such a positive change in both boys, and they genuinely look forward to their lessons. We would highly recommend her to any family looking for a dedicated and supportive piano or violin teacher.

Nahid

Maraylya

Annahita chose the violin herself, but Parisa has truly helped her develop a love and passion for it. Parisa's patience, encouragement, and the way of teaching have made such a positive difference in my daugter's experience. She really enjoys her lessons and is becoming more confident and motivated to learn and improve. We’re very grateful to Parisa for inspiring her and helping her discover the joy of playing the violin.
